Raymond Crosby, President and CEO of Crosby Marketing Communications, is featured in a “Leadership” profile in the June 18  Washington Post “Top Workplaces” magazine.

In the Post profile, Crosby stated that running a business has always been about instilling a sense of family.  Raymond’s father, Ralph, founded the firm in 1973 after buying two small tourist publications – “Rambling Through Annapolis” and “Rambling Through Georgetown”- and Raymond’s mother joined to help with ad sales.  Raymond become the fourth employee of what was then called PR Associates.

With that background, Crosby, states the profile, tries to treat employees like family, including letting employees take time off to deal with problems at home. And, that philosophy has proven successful.  The firm was listed as a 2017 Top Workplace by The Washington Post, and also was named a 2016 Top Workplace by The Baltimore Sun for achieving outstanding employee engagement, work/life balance, pay and benefits, and company leadership.

Crosby, a Capitol Communicator sponsor, now has offices in Annapolis, Md, and Washington, D.C., and provides integrated advertising, public relations, social media and digital marketing services through specialized practices in Healthcare, Government, and Nonprofits & Causes. Crosby’s mission of Inspiring Actions That Matter™ helps clients make a positive impact for individuals, families, communities and society.
