The Interactive Advertising Class at The Art Institute of Washington, a branch campus of The Art Institute of Atlanta, worked with The Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy (IMTD) to launch the I Am One in a Billion campaign. The campaign, an initiative of IMTD, is aimed at mobilizing one billion people across the world to persuade their government to take action to prevent the global climate change crisis.
Students, faculty and friends signed a personal petition and created a piece of apparel to show the government that citizens do care about the climate change epidemic. Participants used eco-friendly dyes, paints, markers, as well as coffee grinds and tea bags, to create t-shirts, tote bags and apparel.
The Art Institute of Washington is a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta and one of The Art Institutes (www.artinstitutes.edu), a system of more than 45 educational institutions located throughout North America. The Art Institutes schools provide an important source for design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts professionals.
