Mike Mertz is the founder and Chief Creative Guy at Mertz Alliance [mighty creative]. Mertz Alliance [mighty creative] was formed in 2005 with the vision of independently collaborating with select clients, advertising agencies, design groups, marcomm / pr firms, and highly talented independents that share a common zeal for premium creative work and brand development. Mike’s advertising and design career spans 18 years, most notably as Partner + Chief Creative Director at bloom&mertz advertising & design (1991-2001), and as Chief Creative Director + Art Director at Enten&Associates (2001-’05).

Mike has had the proud honor of earning nearly 100 advertising and design awards including: (2) ADDY “Best Of Show” Awards, local + regional ADDY Awards, Art Directors Club NY, AIGA50, TELLYs, ADRIANs, and numerous other industry-specific awards. His creative credits include: creative + art direction (print, broadcast, new media, direct marketing), web + new media design, copywriting, logo/corporate identity design and packaging design.

Mike served on the Advertising Club of Metropolitan Washington Board of Directors for over a decade and founded the “One Holiday Party” in 2006 which—to this day—assembles together advertising, marcomm, new media, design, and PR trade organizations to celebrate the Holidays and the communications industry as a whole. Mike was also instrumental in re-branding the Ad Club and designed its current logo. The Ad Club logo earned a District 2 ADDY award which includes NYC. Mike has co-chaired the ADDY Awards and served as lead chair on several other events.
