About our founder

Heathere Evans-Keenan, APR, is an accredited public relations professional and founder of the Independent Public Relations Alliance (2003). Named PR Woman of the Year by Washington Women in Public Relations, Evans-Keenan is known for her media training, presentations skills coaching and messaging workshops across the country. She served as president of the Public Relations Society of America’s 1,400 member chapter--The National Capital Chapter--in the Greater Washington D.C. area. A San Diego native, she began in the communications industry working for the local NBC news affiliate, and has since held a variety of senior pubic relations positions for corporations, government organizations, and public relations and marketing firms.
