- Widmeyer Communications adds two to its Public Affairs practice: Assistant Vice President Kristofer Eisenla and Senior Account Executive Erin Robertson. Eisenla will primarily serve as the deputy account manager for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s national public safety education campaign to raise awareness for swimming pool and spa safety, and will also provide media counsel to other clients of the firm, as needed. Eisenla comes to Widmeyer from the office of U.S. Representative Diana DeGette (D-CO), where he served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Communications. Robertson will work directly with government, corporate and association clients, including CPSC and a major northeastern utilities company. Previously she was a communications assistant at the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., where she spearheaded the organization’s social media launch and served as the primary contact for their community outreach program.
- Jennifer Swint, founder and former president of the communications consulting firm Nine Dot Strategies, has joined APCO Worldwide is a senior vice president and the firm's business development director for the North American region.
Prior to her work with Nine Dot Strategies, Swint was an executive with the Atlantic Media Company, the parent company of the National Journal Group, The Atlantic and Government Executive publishing enterprises. As president of Atlantic Live, she focused on all non-publishing aspects of the company, managing events, research projects and other business-development and brand-extension opportunities. She was also executive director of National Journal's Policy Council, a membership organization with the goal of improving communication between advocacy and educational organizations and Capitol Hill. She also managed the public relations departments for both The Atlantic and the National Journal Group. Earlier, Swint served as executive vice president and director of administration for Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick, where she was recognized by Inside PR's Public Relations Agency Report Card as one of Weber Shandwick's top leadership talent. Swint also spent five years at John Adams Associates, a public affairs agency specializing in environmental and energy issues, as vice president and director of client services
