Microsoft hired Christina Pearson as senior director for public relations in its D.C. office, reports National Journal's Tech Daily Dose. Pearson most recently worked for Fleishman-Hillard, specializing in assisting clients in crafting public relations strategies during crisis situations such as product recalls and public health emergencies.
Before joining Fleishman-Hillard, Pearson was assistant secretary for public affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the Bush administration. She also worked for the Senate Finance Committee and for the communications firm launched by GOP operative Ed Gillespie and former Republican National Committee Chairman Haley Barbour, who is now Mississippi's governor.
