EFX Media has been awarded a $3.5 million contract from the United States Census Bureau to provide video production and other audio/video services. EFX Media, which is based in Arlington, will provide, among other services, location video production crews, editors, editing services, interactive design, media services, and booking of existing preferred Census vendors nationwide.
The Census Bureau’s Public Information Office sought to find a general supplier of outside AV services to augment its own in-house capabilities. EFX Media has worked for many years with the Census Bureau on video and interactive projects. The contract is a base year and four option years, with a majority of the work slated for the next 12 months to coincide with the 2010 census.
“EFX Media is pleased to have been selected to support the efforts of the Census Bureau to educate citizens about the importance of the census in 2010,” said Jim Franco, president and CEO of EFX Media. “We have worked closely with government agencies such as Census for many years and have helped provide them with production services outside the scope of their internal departments.”
