Ad 2 DC, an affiliate of The DC Ad Club, helps young marketing professionals (32 and younger) network, socialize and gain leadership experience so they can kick the pants off the advertising world. Each year, Ad 2 DC selects a local, non-profit organization and executes a public service campaign as a way to give back to the community. With hundreds of non-profits in the DC metro area, Ad 2 DC has the advantage of helping various non-profits for years to come.
For 2010, Ad 2 DC has selected Teaching for Change. Established in 1989, Teaching for Change provides teachers and parents with the tools to transform schools into centers of justice where students learn to read, write and change the world. The public service campaign will promote and increase awareness of the Teaching for Change bookstore, located within Busboys and Poets. To be successful, Ad 2 DC needs talented creatives, media-savvy folk and marketing savants to create a campaign that will turn bookstore patrons into supporters of this non-profit organization.
