To help our community of 10,000 professionals position themselves as experts within their niche, Capitol Communicator has launched our Sourcebook directory. Built on a social media platform, Sourcebook allows communications professionals concentrated around Washington, D.C. to build their profile and share content for the purpose of highlighting their personal brand and organizational presence.
"Communications professionals showcase the credentials and successes of their clients and organizations, so they are keenly aware of the need to do it for themselves," says Paul Duning, publisher of Capitol Communicator. "Sourcebook provides the venue for that to a targeted audience without the overwhelming nature of traditional social networks."
The Capitol Communicator Sourcebook enables participants to create a profile with text, photos, video, graphics and links that can get posted in multiple categories. For professionals in marketing, advertising, public relations, graphic design, printing and other segments of the Capitol Communicator family, SourceBook helps them find individuals and companies seeking jobs, partnerships, subcontracting opportunities, vendor relationships and other interaction. Like the rest of the content on Capitol Communicator, SourceBook is optimized for search engines.
Adds Capitol Communicator co-founder Phil Rabin, "Too often the Web creates niche communities that are homogeneous, which has its benefits but it can be limiting. Our definition of communication includes multiple categories of professionals and service providers so there is a rich resource available for any communication need."
Individual participants on Sourcebook get unlimited access in one category for $100/year. Companies with one to four employees pay $250/year for two category listings, and those with five or more employees get three categories for $500/year (additional categories are $50 each). The 19 categories include marketing, advertising, associations, public affairs and public relations, social media and writing.
