- Susan Davis International has won the Stevie Award for the Non-Profit Communications Campaign of the Year for the 2009 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award campaign.  The campaign was conducted on behalf of the Department of Defense agency, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. The Freedom Award recognizes employers who provide exceptional support to their National Guard and Reserve employees. The goal of the campaign was to increase the Freedom Award’s visibility among the military community who can nominate their employers and create broader public awareness of the award, the nominated organizations and the recipients.

- Michael Delpierre launched Conversion Pipeline, a strategic marketing communications company created to help small business and non-profits utilize modern sales, marketing, and communication strategies, such as pay-per-click advertising, search engine optimization, public relations, business consulting, social media, and other strategies to raise brand awareness in their respective marketplace.

According to a release, Delpierre, formerly with Henninger Media Services, has led numerous sales and marketing teams that understood the importance of raising brand awareness and driving revenue. Headquartered in Sterling, VA, Conversion Pipeline focuses on providing the highest return-on-investment marketing and communication services to small businesses and non-profits that have been the hardest hit by the economic downturn.

Conversion Pipeline draws its name from combining sales and marketing terminologies; “sales pipeline” and “customer conversions”. For the business executive, a sales pipeline is the foundation for their existence and revenue growth. On the marketing side, a marketing manager must achieve the highest possible online and offline conversion rates as a way to increase sales team leads.

- Scott Circle Communications adds Abbey Franke as an account executive. Franke comes to Scott Circle with a diverse background in public relations and events management gained working with organizations ranging from the 2008 Democratic National Convention to the Boulder Fringe Festival. In addition to traditional PR support, her focus at Scott Circle will be creatively managing new media campaigns where her experience in social networking, E-blasts, and Web site management will help organizations and companies increase their presence both on- and off-line.

- Vocus signed webcasting and virtual events provider ON24 as a new customer. ON24 cites Vocus’ ability to provide tools for the full-lifecycle of public relations activities – from planning and research – to execution – to the measurement and analysis of PR results as the central reason behind its decision to choose Vocus.

“The PR profession has changed substantially, mirroring those changes in the traditional media landscape – the expectations of PR professionals for productivity and results are higher than ever,” said Tricia Heinrich, senior director for Strategic Communications at ON24. “Vocus is multifaceted and it offers an entire spectrum of tools we need to work more efficiently.”

ON24 plans to use Vocus to manage its media contacts, track outreach efforts -- and to monitor, analyze and measure PR results. ON24, which leads in global market share for virtual events, also cites the ability to use Vocus for tracking the efforts of competitors as being among the key reasons for choosing the platform.
