 - Hill & Knowlton is losing its worldwide director of healthcare to Pfizer, but gaining a senior VP and healthcare policy director in D.C. from the pharmaceutical giant. AnnaMaria DaSalva is leaving H&K for the VP, worldwide communications, research, science, and technology, at Pfizer at the end of the month, reports odwyerpr.com. H&K told odwyerpr.com it is actively searching for a replacement. Meanwhile, Dolly Judge, recently VP of federal government relations in a 10-year career at Pfizer in D.C., is moving to H&K as senior leader of its D.C. healthcare unit, a key post amid the healthcare debate in the capital.

- Public affairs veterans Tad Segal and Joe Clayton who, most recently, were with Widmeyer Communications, have created a full-service firm called Outreach Strategies LLC, reports the Washington Business Journal.   According to the rest of the WBJ report:

The firm, located at 1001 Connecticut Ave. NW, is focusing on advocacy communications, issues management, stakeholder engagement and media relations.

The company currently has two additional employees and is in hiring mode for high-level positions in the firm.

“We will essentially be helping coalitions and companies navigate between the communications and the policy arena, domestically, at the federal and state level and the international level,” said Segal, who left an executive role at Widmeyer Communications in May. “This would be helping with developing messages and helping to get those messages out to the right public they are dealing with.”

Clayton left his CEO post at Widmeyer earlier this year.

The U.S. Climate Action Partnership, a former client of Widmeyer, took on Outreach Strategies as their agency of record. Another new client of the firm is Geneva-based World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Before their Widmeyer gigs, Segal led the D.C. communications operation for United Parcel Service and Clayton was a public affairs executive at American Student Assistanc
