Design Army reports it’s prominently featured in the 2009 Coupe International Design and Image Annual. Five projects from the studio's award-winning portfolio join the 125 featured entries, with the HRC "Politics of Possibility" winning the "Show's Best Annual Report" award. The other four winners were the "OMG" 2009 ADDYs campaign for the DC Ad Club, the "Show Off or Die Trying" poster for AIGA DC, "Fortunes Found" mailer for relish, and the "Infinite Possibilities" annual report for the University of Virginia Library. Coupe, based in Toronto and published twice a year, is a visual collision between the worlds of design, art, technology and culture.
Design Army also reported that two pieces from their portfolio are featured in the 50th Communication Arts Design Annual. The winning pieces are the "Infinite Possibilities" annual report for the University of Virginia Library and the "Show Off or Die Trying" call for entries poster for AIGA DC. Since 1959, Communication Arts is the largest creative magazine in the world, showcasing the top work in the visual communications industry.
In addition, the firm announced that six pieces from their portfolio join the over 800 winners of Print Magazine's 2009 Regional Design Annual, the largest number of featured entries by a single firm in the Eastern region. The winning pieces were for AIGA DC, Georgetown University, the Human Rights Campaign, the Ronald Reagan Building, and the UVA Library. Since 1981, the Print Regional Design Annual is the most comprehensive yearly profile of American graphic design.
