Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) announced that the finalists for this year’s "Washington PR Woman of the Year" Award have been selected. The winner of this year’s award will be chosen from the following honorees:
• Jody Arlington, managing partner, PR Collaborative and Director, Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alliance;
• Kirsten Suto Seckler, director of Global Brand Marketing and Awareness, Special Olympics; and,
• Sarah Temple, senior vice president of social marketing practice, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide
WWPR confers this award annually in recognition of the many achievements and unique contributions that women as public relations professionals bring to the marketplace. The award is presented to a public relations practitioner working in the Washington Metropolitan area who has demonstrated leadership, integrity and community involvement.
Dana Bash, CNN's senior congressional correspondent, will serve as the keynote speaker. Bash is responsible for covering the activities of both the U.S. House and Senate.
The winner will be announced Wednesday, November 4, 2009, noon - 2:00 p.m. at a WWPR luncheon at Washington Marriott at Metro Center.
