
Jones Public Affairs, Inc., announced the appointment of Berna Diehl, pictured above, as senior VP, ...

and the promotion of Jennifer (Weissblum) Rodriguez to VP.
Diehl will lead several of the agency’s clients, including the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the Coalition for Patients’ Rights™ and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Rodriguez directs the agency’s work with clients such as The Wellness Community, Prostate Conditions Education Council and Wyeth.
Prior to joining Jones Public Affairs, Diehl worked for Edelman’s health practice in Washington, D.C., where she developed and implemented a number of strategic communications programs. She has also served as the advocacy communications manager for the American Heart Association, and began her career at the agency of Capitoline/Manning, Selvage & Lee. Most recently, Diehl served as a public relations consultant and the volunteer communications director for the International Cesarean Awareness Network, where she aimed to position the organization as a key resource on maternity care issues.
Additionally, The Wellness Community and Gilda’s Club selected Jones PA to lead its rebranding efforts after a competitive RFP process. In July 2009 the two cancer advocacy groups joined forces to become the largest provider of cancer support worldwide. The combined organization is comprised of nearly 50 local affiliates, 12 affiliates in development and over 100 satellite locations.
The agency also anounced that it has relocated to 1420 K Street, NW.
