Qorvis Communications announced new hires to keep pace with business growth. Ten new employees joined Qorvis and the firm continues to seek qualified individuals for additional slots. Qorvis has also been selected as a “Best Agency to Work For” by The Holmes Report, an influential independent publication covering the international public relations industry.
During the first half of 2009, Qorvis landed more than 20 new clients, including tech brands such as Intel, sovereign work such as Mexico and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, and strategic communications programs such as Massey Energy. In the public affairs arena, Qorvis continues to expand its coalition-building expertise, with the recent launch of the “No Choke Points” coalition, which is focused on the high-profile debate over high-capacity broadband lines. Coalition members include Sprint, T-Mobile and tw telecom, in addition to a number of consumer and education groups. Qorvis is also leading multiple new interactive efforts, highlighted by the work with George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens — homestead of America’s first president.
To meet the increasing client demand for integrated communications services, Qorvis continues to hire at all levels—bringing aboard individuals with multidisciplinary backgrounds who are well versed in blending traditional and new media. Recent new hires include:
Senior Directors: Gautam Chatur and Joseph Chapman have joined Qorvis’ interactive team;
Directors: Jocelyn Smith has joined Qorvis’ interactive team as an experienced project manager, along with web developer Monte Early, who has a broad skill set using a variety of web technologies; and Wyeth Ruthven brings extensive Capitol Hill and political communications experience to Qorvis’ public affairs and public relations clients;
Senior Associate: David Stoline has joined Qorvis’ in-house website development team; and,
Associates: Carrie Lipscomb, Eduardo Velez, Michelle Tabach and Jake DiGregorio will support the firm’s integrated communications campaigns.
