Cable network AMC is promoting the much-anticipated third season of “Mad Men,” the Emmy Award-winning early 60s-era drama set in a Madison Avenue ad agency. What's the latest way to capture attention? A chance to win a walk-on role in an upcoming episode.
Self-proclaimed local ad evangelist Cary Hatch, seen in photo above, is asking for your vote to put her in the running to represent DC as an advertising town. You can vote at: http://tinyurl.com/MADMENcaryhatch
Hatch, who heads MDB Communications, asked us to urge our readers to encourage their friends, family and co-workers to vote - but they can only vote once a day through the duration of the contest, which ends August 11th.
AMC's promotional partner Banana Republic is promoting the show in all its North American stores leading up to its Aug. 16 premiere, with mannequins dressed in classic early ’60s styles and even a “Mad Men” style guide.
Think sharp suits, wide skirts, form-fitting sheath dresses, fedoras and pearls.
Good luck to Cary; we hope to see her on an episode of Mad Men!
You can tune in to AMC on Sunday Aug. 16th at 10/9c for the premiere of Mad Men Season 3.
