Vocus, which provides software for public relations management, will hire 60 new employees by the end of 2009, reports the Washington Business Journal. The Lanham-based company said the majority of the hires will be local at its headquarters and media research facility in College Park, according to WBJ.
Most of the open positions are in sales and marketing but also exist in almost every department, including product development and client services. The company is getting the hiring word out through a mix of traditional and nontraditional means, like job boards, social media, Twitter and networking events in the area, said Cal Shilling, the company’s chief recruiter.
Those hires will be in addition to the 100 employees the company has hired so far in 2009,
