About 50-plus designers, writers, advertisers, marketers and public relations professionals gathered at Bittersweet Café for the first iMAGINE Blender in Old Town Alexandria this month. iMAGINE is a movement to build a 50,000 square foot creative hub that will brand the City of Alexandria as an anchor to organizations specializing in the field of creativity.
The proposed center’s goal is to encompass and promote the entire life-cycle of the creative process: education, idea generation, collaboration, implementation, and appreciation. Attendees learned about how iMAGINE is working to gain recognition, and find out how interested parties can contribute. A cupcake design contest was one of the highlights of the event.
