Despite the large thunderstorm around the time the event began last evening, fortunately the sky cleared over 16th & U to accommodate several hundred at Twin Tech IV, held at Local 16, 1602 U St. Paul Duning, publisher of the Capitol Communicator, attended the event and provided this report on the event:

The Twin Tech series of events is produced and hosted by iStrategy Labs and the Northern Virginia Technology Council. These events have drawn impressive numbers since its inception. Registration for last night’s event was cut off at around 800. The way I would describe the Twin Tech events is, it is a meet-up of the urban social/online media elite with the suburban technology power houses. Whatever, it is a very interesting convergences of tech marketing, social media publishers, lawyers, accountants, bloggers, programmers, investors, tech public relations and lots of emerging entrepreneurs. It is quite an eclectic group ranging from Bobbie Kilberg, president & CEO of NVTC, who represents many of the largest technology brands in the region and country to the couple of mobile media user experience consultants I met. There is certainly not a lack of a lot of bright minds in the tech space in this region. Despite the current financial challenges, there seemed to be a lot of optimism about the opportunities emerging from the reset of our new economy.
