Shana Glickfield has become the online community director of the blog of USTelecom, and will be responsible for blogging, twittering, and networking on behalf of the broadband industry. The site is currently undergoing a redesign and will re-launch in late March.She had been with Amplify Public Affairs, which formerly was Issue Dynamics.
Amy Buckley and Susan Thomas have joined Reingold as VPs.
Buckley formerly served as confidential assistant to the Secretary in the White House Liaison’s Office at the U.S. Department of Education, and was deputy director of the White House Office of Presidential Personnel.
Thomas was a senior advisor to the Associate Administer of Capital Access at the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Frank Gruber of Arlington and Eric Olson of Chicago created TECH cocktail as a way to offer events and community-powered projects open to bloggers, technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and professionals interested in technology in under-served technology communities. The hope was to find local technology communities outside the Valley and create a great tech vibe and bring together the local community in the greater good of bigger and better things.
TECH cocktail has hosted events all over the country in growing and thriving tech communities, in places like Boulder, Chicago, Boston and Washington, DC. Each time the crowd grows as does the excitement about the events. Last Thursday, TECH cocktail hosted its 4th event in the DC area over the past two years. It was a huge success with more than 300 of the best and brightest from the greater DC area coming together to talk shop, exchange ideas, and also close business deals.
