Editor & Publisher has an interesting item that states that The Huffington Post is quickly edging its way up the top-30 online news destinations list, according to Nielsen Online. In February the Huff Post was No. 15 on the list with 8.8 million unique users compared to January, where it was No. 22 with 7.3 million.

The E&P piece stated that MSNBC Digital Network topped all current events and global news destinations with 41 million unique users in February. The Fox News Digital Network grew its monthly uniques in February 59% to 16.1 million compared to the same month last year.

USAToday.com was up 27% to 13.4 million visitors in February. The N.Y. Daily News grew 38% to 4.9 million uniques.

The number of unique users at Google News fell 3% in February to 11.7 million.
