Pete Snyder, founder and CEO of New Media Strategies (NMS), welcomed Governor Bob McDonnell and Bobbie Kilberg, CEO of Northern Virginia Technology Council, to cut the ribbon on their newly expanded headquarters in Arlington, VA, on Aug. 25. The celebration highlights NMS’ achievement of bringing innovation and growth to Virginia with the creation of over 40 new communications and technology jobs in 2010.

Pete Snyder said, “We’ve been very fortunate at NMS to have such an amazing team of communications and technology professionals that make growing this company an easy task. As pioneers in this industry, the hard work of our people is what has gotten us where we are today. We are honored to be able to share this success with Governor McDonnell.”
“Being here with your team Pete, to help to celebrate your innovations through working with Meredith and with your team, to announce the creation of 40 new jobs is really an exciting day. I think by the fact that you’ve got so many of your Delegates here, Delegates Hope and Keam and Albo and Comstock and others, is really a sign that we all want to be able to celebrate success in Virginia, and that’s why I brought our top business leaders – Secretary Cheng and Director Sue who have been working very hard to be sure that we’re setting the table right in Richmond to keep a very pro-growth, pro-job, free enterprise climate in Virginia, said Governor McDonnell.”
Governor McDonnell continued, “What you all have done to lay these foundations – I remember being here with Pete four or five years ago and I think you had about 30 or 40 employees. I walk in today and you have 130 and adding 40 more – this is a really great Virginian and American success story. I know these things don’t just happen – you’ve got a great CEO, leadership definitely starts at the top; but it takes an amazingly dedicated and entrepreneurial workforce, too. Thanks for what you’ve done – this is a collective story of success, good management, good teamwork, and great, honest, hard work every day to find new ways to do things better. Each of you pursuing your own dreams using your God-given talents to make things better for your customers, your investors, and ultimately you and your families – that’s what makes America great. I think this is a great corporate celebration today, and we in Virginia are glad to be just a little piece of it!”
