Before joining CFP Board, Drummond worked in senior roles at D.C. PR agencies including Burson-Marsteller and Powell Tate. Prior to working in the private sector, Drummond was Communications Director for Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA) and a reporter, with his last assignment at The Washington Times. “In hiring Dan Drummond, we are taking public relations to another level. His background and experience will contribute greatly to using communications to help shape policy, educate the public on the importance of personal financial planning and support the CFP® certificant community,” said Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Strauss Radio Strategies received a Platinum and Gold 2010 Hermes Creative Award in the Radio Placement category. The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition that honors professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. A Platinum Award was presented to SRS for the GM Restructuring radio media tour, which was judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition. For this project, SRS developed a fifteen-hour, multi-day national radio tour after GM filed for Chapter-11 bankruptcy, for GM executives to address GM’s new restructuring plan.
