On the day of the second presidential debate, Eileen Kessler, president of DC-based design firm, OmniStudio, launched a Facebook application that, she said, “gives people a way to show their support for President Obama by highlighting how his first-term programs have had a positive effect on their lives.”

The app, which ties into Facebook, Twitter and e-mail, asks users to provide some basic demographic information. Then the app produces a graphic showing, said Kessler, “how they benefit from Obama’s policies.” App users are also prompted to upload their photo to produce a composite image with President Obama and post it to their Facebook page.

“I’m hoping that the app will inspire more people to participate in the election,” Kessler said.
