The D.C. Office of Motion Picture and Television Development named Theresa Bucci, a documentary filmmaker specializing in short films about social causes, as the October 2012 Filmmaker of the Month.  Bucci specializes in the production of online video storytelling campaigns for nonprofits and other social causes. After backpacking through Asia for six months and volunteering with a learning center for relocated refugees, Theresa developed a special affinity for both international and women's issues that are often showcased in her films.  One of her recent films, Finding a Way Home, is the story of a woman named Katrina, who finds a safe space at local women's shelter, called N Street Village, as she struggles to get back on her feet physically, mentally and emotionally after becoming homeless.

Weber Shandwick adds Cindy Drucker as an executive vice president in the firm's global Social Impact practice where she will serve as a strategic counselor to global organizations designing and executing corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability strategies. Previously, Drucker worked as the Director of Public Engagement for the Presidential National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling, where she served as the senior point person for public outreach and stakeholder engagement. Prior to that, she served as senior advisor to the president & CEO of World Wildlife Fund, advancing WWF's climate change, energy and conservation goals.
