Giant question marks are appearing on buildings in DC like the Verizon Center. And, these question marks lead to the Smithsonian. Why, you may ask, is the Smithsonian doing it? The answer, reports WTTG-TV, is that the Smithsonian is launching a million-dollar national ad campaign, in partnership with Target, designed to reintroduce the world to the Smithsonian.

When they did research, the Smithsonian found that people all over the country had very fond memories of the Smithsonian. Maybe it took them back to a family vacation in Washington, D.C. But the Smithsonian wants to be more than just a fond memory, they want people to know there's a whole world worth seeing at the Smithsonian.
