The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention awarded two contracts to DC-based Hager Sharp. The two multi-year contracts worth an estimated $6.2 million include support for the Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP) and the Division of Oral Health (DOH), both based in Atlanta. The two contracts awarded to the agency include a four-year contract valued at $ 5.7 million to support a range of public health activities to reduce cardiovascular and stroke mortality, with a particular focus on blood pressure control as part of CDC’s comprehensive ABCS (Aspirin, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, and Smoking Cessation) message. Another two-year contract valued at approximately $525,000 is aimed at supporting communication and education efforts around oral health issues, including community water fluoridation. For the contract with DHDSP, Hager Sharp will work with key sub-contractors at Palladian Partners for strategic communications, digital strategies, and editorial and graphic design support.
