The Virginia Film Festival has announced a call for entries for its upcoming festival, and filmmakers are invited to submit features, documentaries and short films. Festival staff has made a commitment to supporting Virginia filmmakers, and want quality films from across the state. All Virginia residents and students at Virginia schools can submit their work for free. The festival will accept feature films, documentaries, shorts, animation and experimental works for consideration for its upcoming 25th anniversary year.
The extended deadline is August 31. Filmmakers accepted into the festival will be notified by September 28. Also, all accepted films will be eligible for Audience Awards and Programmer’s Choice Awards. Documentary works will compete for the opportunity to be shown on SnagFilms.com.
