The Public Relations Society of America - National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) will celebrate the talent and innovation in Washington public relations professionals at its 44th annual Thoth Awards Gala occurring on Thursday, September 13, 6 - 9 p.m. at the National Press Club.
This year's awards gala theme is "Celebrating the Champions." The special guest presenter is Michael Weiss, two-time Olympian, two-time World Bronze medalist and three-time U.S. champion figure skater. During the gala, 35 achievements will be recognized including 16 program categories that celebrate the very best PR campaigns and 19 component campaigns that highlight the top accomplishments in PR tactics. A distinguished panel of judges selected the finalists based on their record of excellence and accomplishments as well as their leadership qualities and ethical standards including a wide array of public relations agencies, private sector companies, government organizations, nonprofits, and trade and professional associations.
"This year's winners implemented innovative communications strategies and demonstrated the true value of public relations by achieving impressive and accountable results," said Suzanne Holroyd, PRSA-NCC 2012 president. "The Public Relations Society of America - National Capital Chapter looks forward to hosting an evening of celebration to honor the talent and successes of public relations professionals covering different facets of our industry."
