More Fortune Global 100 companies are using YouTube, but Twitter remains the most popular platform according to the third annual Burson-Marsteller Global Social Media Check-Up. The research included data from Visible Technologies. The study found a 39 percent jump in the percentage of companies with a branded YouTube channel.
Twitter’s popularity remains with 82 percent of the Fortune Global 100 companies have at least one Twitter account. Seventy-four percent of companies studied have a Facebook page and 93 percent of the pages are updated weekly.
