As a job candidate, hearing the words, “You’re hired,” shouldn’t be the only thing you’re looking for.  Being compatible with your potential employer is key to your professional growth and can open the doors to new possibilities down the road. However, it can be easy to get lost in the crowded aisles of career fairs and the mass of online job boards and lose sight of that fact.

Come Recommended, an exclusive online recruitment community, is helping to shift the focus back to job compatibility with their recruitment service, GoodieRecruit. The revolutionary recruitment tool caters to young communicators by partnering with employers, and nonprofits. Through full or half-day “experiences,” candidates can preview a day on the job while showcasing their capabilities.

To celebrate the launch of GoodieRecruit, Capitol Communicator is sponsoring a two-hour networking event on February 4, 2010, at Busboys & Poets in Washington, D.C. from 6-8 pm. Attendees will receive Goodie Bags with the latest books from Heather R. Huhman, Lisa Orrell, and Alexandra Levitt.

All local DC communicators and entry-level job seekers are invited to attend. You can sign up for your free ticket and get more information here.
