The DC Ad Club and Ad 2 DC earned 10 Club Achievement Awards - including three for first place - in the American Advertising Federation’s annual national competition. This breaks the club’s previous record of winning three awards in 2009.

Competing in eight categories with more than 10 clubs of comparable size (500 or more members) from across the country, the DC Ad Club won top honors in two categories: Club Operations and Advertising Education. It earned three second-place awards, for Programs, Membership Development, and Diversity, and took third place in Government Relations. This is the third year in a row the DC Ad Club has been recognized in the Club Operations and Membership Development categories.

Ad 2 DC, a subset of the club for professionals age 32 and younger, competed with more than 25 organizations of comparable size to win top honors for Advertising Education. It took second place for Communications, and earned two third-place awards, in the Programs and Club Operations categories. This is the third year in a row that Ad 2 DC has been recognized for its programming.

“We’re thrilled to have set a new chapter record and earned this recognition by AAF. It demonstrates the significant contribution our Board of Directors and committee leaders are making to our members, the industry, and the general public,” said Sherri Anne Green, president of the DC Ad Club.

The awards will be presented at the AAF National Conference, ADMERICA! 2012, to be held June 2–5, in Austin, TX.
