Veteran DC TV weatherman Bob Ryan's last day on Channel 7/WJLA will be tonight, May 22, states dcrtv.com. WJLA General Manager Bill Lord said Ryan’s career accomplishments are “unmatched in the television industry and we have been greatly honored to have him on our team." Among the tributes to Ryan, stated dcrtv.com, is a song sung by Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski and DC Mayor Vincent Gray naming May 22nd as "Bob Ryan Day."

Since Facebook went public and its stock price hit the floor,
the social network beefed up advertising properties and analytics. But in spite of these strengths, the network's future seems uncertain. The company stated in its first quarter earnings report that engagement rates have never been better. However, Nielsen did a study that showed actual desktop hours spent on the network dropped by 6% in 2013. The drop was so precipitous that Rupert Murdoch compared it to MySpace’s first warning signals of decline.

You have probably already heard, but if you didn't, Yahoo bought Tumblr. The question on some Tumblr fan’s minds: Will Yahoo alter the very popular site? From Yahoo’s point-of-view, Tumblr means young users (a.k.a. ad revenue), and they are severely short on young users.  While the reaction of Tumblr founder David Karp was excitement, others were more hesitant.
