The United Nations declared 2011 the International Year of Forests with the goal of raising awareness for sustainable development, management and conservation of all forest types. The U.S. campaign aims to elevate awareness and understanding of the value of America’s trees and forests while showcasing the connections between healthy forests, people, ecosystems and economies. According to Jeff Clabaugh of the Washington Business Journal, Erik Wemple, editor of TBD, confirmed that there will be job cuts at TBD. WJLA Channel 7 took over TBD earlier this month and announced today that there will be about 12 jobs cut from TBD.
